Ryan Phillips of DeLancey Direct will be in the store today and tomorrow sampling the fine brews from Cannery Brewing out of Penticton, B.C. Here's the schedule:
Friday, Nov 25, 3:30-7:00
Saturday, Nov 26, 2:00-5:00

TAPS - The Beer Magazine is a shouldn't-be-missed wealth of information on the Canadian craft beer universe. You can, of course, pick up the current quarterly issue at the store...wull, no because the current/summer issue is sold out. :( TAPS also provides awesome podcasts of their visits to breweries (e.g., Mill St, Charlevoix) and other events (e.g., grand opening of Niagara College's Teaching Brewery).

Summer Quaffing

A beautiful woman came into Das Cooler on Tuesday pondering which new & interesting beer she could take to share with a friend. Instead of pointing her to a light, summer brew, I suggested Fish Brewing's contribution to the barley wine theater, Reel 10², in hopes that this would be a wonderful pairing with an enjoyable time spent with a good friend. In this vein, I will talk a little later about some other off-season brews of interest.
